Seas the Mind - Terms and Conditions for Training Courses / Services
1. Introduction These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of training services by Seas the Mind to the client ("Client"). By enrolling in or participating in our training programs, the Client agrees to these terms.
2. Services The Provider offers training services as detailed in the course description provided at the time of enrolment. Services may include, but are not limited to, workshops, online courses, and in-person training sessions.
The provider reserves the right to update and change the content of any Training Course at any time and without notice.
3. Enrolment and Payment
Enrolment in training programs is subject to availability.
The Client must complete the booking / registration process and provide payment in full to secure their enrolment.
Payment methods accepted include [secure online payment, bank transfer, credit card, etc.].
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Participants
If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us at least 14 days before the start of the training. Cancellations made within this timeframe will be eligible for a full refund minus a 10% administrative fee.
Cancellations made within 7–13 days prior to the start of the training will receive a 50% refund.
Cancellations made within less than 7 days of the training start date are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend the session you are registered for, we can offer you the option to transfer your registration to another person or reschedule for a future session (subject to availability). Transfers or rescheduling requests must be made at least 7 days in advance of the scheduled training.
4.2 Cancellation by Seas the Mind
In the rare event that Seas the Mind must cancel a training program due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid.
If we reschedule the training session, you will be given the option to transfer your registration to the new date or receive a refund.
4.3 No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled training session without prior cancellation or rescheduling will result in no refund.
4.4 Refund Process
All refunds will be processed within 14 business days of receiving your cancellation request. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment.
5. Rescheduling Clients may request to reschedule their training session at least 14 days in advance. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur a fee.
6. Client Responsibilities The Client agrees:
To attend training sessions as scheduled.
To provide accurate and complete information during booking / registration.
To adhere to any rules and guidelines set forth by the Provider during the training.
Not to rent, lease, sub-license, loan, translate, merge, adapt, vary or modify the Training Materials or related documentation.
Not to alter, or modify, the whole or any part of the Training Materials or related documentation, nor permit the Training Materials or any part of them to be combined with, or become incorporated into, any other materials.
To supervise and control use of the Training Materials and Documents and ensure that they are used only for the purposes of training as envisaged by Seas The Mind and in accordance with the terms of this agreement.
Not to provide or otherwise make available the Training Materials or related documentation in whole or in part, in any form to any person without prior written consent from Seas the Mind.
7. Intellectual Property All materials provided during the training sessions are the intellectual property of the Provider. The Client agrees not to reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability The Provider shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Client’s participation in the training services.
9. Events Beyond Our Reasonable Control We will not be liable to you under this Agreement if we are prevented from or delayed in performing any of our obligations under this Agreement, or from carrying on our business, by acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes, an act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, fire, flood, or storm.
For so long as the force majeure event persists, our obligations will be suspended and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. However, we will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
10. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
11. Amendments The Provider reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes prior to their next training session.
12. Safeguarding Statement: Seas the Mind is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect, and will ensure the safeguarding students, staff & trainers from physical, sexual, psychological, emotional or financial harm or neglect. We recognize that everyone, irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage or civil partnership or social status, has a right to protection from discrimination and abuse. And Seas the Mind takes all reasonable steps to ensure that, by providing our staff with appropriate procedures and training, it offers a safe environment for all employees, trainers & students.
13. Equality Statement: Seas the Mind is committed to equality of opportunity, and aims to ensure that all current and potential students, staff & trainers are treated fairly and on an equal basis regardless of sex, age, disability, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership, gender reassignment or social status. Seas the Mind reserves the right to discipline any of its students, staff & trainers who practice any form of discrimination in breach of this policy, in line with the relevant articles, rules, codes of conduct and disciplinary procedures. The effectiveness of this Policy will be monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis by a nominated Safeguarding and Equality Manager.
14. Bullying and Harassment Statement: Seas the Mind aims to provide an environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity, where no-one feels threatened or intimidated and everyone can carry out their roles free from harassment and/or bullying. Unlawful harassment of whatever type (including on grounds of sex, age, disability, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, marriage and civil partnership or gender reassignment) and/or bullying will be viewed with the utmost seriousness. It will normally be dealt with in accordance with the relevant Disciplinary Procedure, although in certain exceptional circumstances it may also constitute a criminal offence. Serious cases of harassment or bullying will, if proven, be treated as gross misconduct and may, depending on the circumstances, result in dismissal without notice or termination of contract/participation agreement. Seas the Mind recognizes that individuals have a right to complain about harassment and/or bullying should it occur. At all stages of the harassment procedure the person making the complaint is entitled to be accompanied by another employee, trainer or student if they wish. Any complaint will be dealt with seriously, without undue delay and, where practicable, in confidence.
